The Community Mental Health Clinic, Inc. (CMHC) is a private, non-profit outpatient community mental health treatment facility founded in 1966 in affiliation with Carlos Albizu University, San Juan Campus. The CMHC is the on-campus training clinic that serves as a clinical practicum site for students enrolled in master and doctoral programs in clinical psychology. As a student under the supervision of licensed psychologists, you will provide culturally sensitive services in a broad spectrum of clinical areas to low income and minority clients within the greater San Juan community and adjacent municipalities.

As a doctoral student in a clinical psychology program, you will also have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence in the following specialized programs:
In addition, The Community Mental Health Clinic, Inc., houses a pre-doctoral internship program that holds APPIC (Association of Psychology Postdoctoral and Internship Centers) membership (Click here for APPIC link, http://www.appic.org/). As an intern, you will engage in psychotherapy, psychodiagnostic evaluations, seminars, didactic training, and supervision.
